Interview
  What got you into officiating?
I was tired of traipsing around the country with Robb as he competed in barefoot tournaments. I had judged tournament skiing and thought it woud be an easy switch to barefooting - yeah right! Boredom got me into judging and scoring barefooting.
Why do you continue to officiate?
Right now it is loyalty to the sport as there is such a shortage of officials in New Zealand. But the friendships keep me coming back - some of my best friends either judge or compete.
Who has inspired you in this sport?
The Farrells ... Willie and Dawn are true ambassadors. I sat next to Dawn for several duties at Mulwala and was stunned by her knowledge. And Kathy O'Donnell is an amazing judge too - an amazing capacity of recall.
What skiers have you enjoyed watching and why?
I love watching the "big boys", but the first barefooter I was ever in awe of was Dodd Dwyer - bleached, built and an awesome tricker in his day! RIP Dodd. I have also enjoyed watching the likes of Andre, Heinie and Ashleigh, and our NZ boys Ben, Ryan and now Georgia grow up in barefooting.
Do you have a nickname and how did you get it?
Not to my knowledge ... but I'm sure there have been a few bandied around from time to time! I am sure my 'attitude' would be the reason.
What other activities do you participate in?
I still waterski recreationally - loving the Sanger Robb has just imported. I love netball and have played for over 35 years. I enjoy tennis and horse riding as often as I can. And more recently I have taken up running and biking - I think the mid-life crisis has set in.
  What is your motto?
I'll pass on that ... both Stacie and Robb can't think of anything that's not rude!
